Studio
My studio is absolutely amazing! I love fibre arts. It feels great to have a place in the school that I can go and do my work. I really like that everything I do in the studio is hands on, it’s the only way to go for me. Any other way and I don’t have the attention span. But it really is great, I have great classmates who are always willing to give me a hand if I don’t get something. It feels great when I can actually get something right. I like that I’m learning skills that can be very practical in my life and I think this studio is definatly where I belong. It’s become my home away from home.
Inspiration
I can take inspiration from pretty well anything I come across. However I seem to find mist of my inspiration from the human form and the human mind and its imperfections. Human form seems to appear in my work much more frequently than it did, although it has always played a huge role for my inspiration.
I think I’m drawn to it because I enjoy seeing a body in motion. The human body is such a beautiful thing. It can be strong and stable, or it can be weak and feeble. I find the curves of the body always seem to be what interests me the most while I draw. And I enjoy drawing full figured people
Nature
Mindless writing about nature… I’m not good with this mindless writing stuff but here goes nothing. Nature is a great thing. I had the chance to grow up surrounded by it. It was great as a child, I had the great outdoors for my playground. Rolling hills, fields and woods when you look out. The woods were a great place to let my imagination run free. I could be anything I wanted when I played.
Nature was full of endless beauty in a child’s eyes. Although it’s still beautiful in my eyes. Nature will always be an important part of my childhood and will still remain important to me.
I love the silence of nature. The wind in the trees, the sound of small animals foraging in the forest. The lack of sounds from cars or other people, it’s sometimes hard to remember you’re not the only person.
Compound Animal
Well I have no pets so it looks like compound animals for me…yay L
Well I do have an affinity towards foxes but if I had to BE the compound animal it would definatly be some sort of big cat with some sort of bird. Yeah I know, I’m so specific.
Well I would probably have a black panther and a bird…. No idea what kind of bird; just a bird. I think it’d be awesome. Cats are beautiful and strong. Not to mention killer teeth and claws. But hey panther with epic wings? Even better. I’d probably want some sort of white bird so maybe a swan. Vicious guys.
